Newsbreaker News: Staying Healthy; Even with Sweets

What does it mean to be healthy? To never eat sweets? Exercise daily but fill yourself with junk food? Or eat numerous vitamin supplements every day?

People try to be healthy in various ways. Despite the differing views on maintaining one’s health, most people agree on one thing–avoiding sweets.

However, being healthy does not necessarily mean banning sweets from your everyday life. You can still eat sweets (in small quantities) and be fit. Also, your health does not only depend on food intake or what kind of food you are eat. An adequate amount of sleep and regular activity are just as crucial as nutrition is to one’s well-being. Walking just 5 minutes a day can boost your mood, make you feel more alert, and increase your lifespan.

Just remember: strict diets are not the only path to achieving good health. Diets are ineffective for many people mainly because people often return to their previous eating habits. With the combination of regular exercise, sufficient amount of sleep, and consumption of various, nutritious foods, you can gradually improve your health and overall well-being.
