The Hollister boys tennis team swept past Pacific Grove 6-1 on Tuesday, with No. 1, Delbert Truong, PG’s only winner. Truong won a thrilling super tiebreaker to defeat a hard fighting Adrian Acevedo. With balls hit from all positions on the court, extended rallies relied on both, athleticism and fine tennis strokes.
As the last match standing, their entertaining seesaw battle tested the nerves of each boy, and some of the spectators, as well.
Also seeing action against Hollister were Min Kang, Tyler Nguyen, Elliot Cho, and Simon Colburn. Jonas Womack played at the No. 2 slot in what was his first appearance for the season.
Hollister has beaten most of the top teams and is a contender for League Champion.
